Explorate founders Alex Ewart and Conor Hagan have been recognised with a Brisbane Young Entrepreneur award in the Digital Disruptor category. The Digital Disruptor award celebrates entrepreneurs who are transforming their industry through digital innovation and business leadership.
Held at the W Brisbane and hosted by Business News Australia, the 2022 Brisbane Young Entrepreneur Awards Gala Dinner was a spectacular showcase of the exceptional entrepreneurial talent Brisbane is incubating.
"In total, the finalists at the Brisbane Awards netted a combined $570 million in revenue in FY22, and created thousands of job opportunities including more than 1,800 full-time positions and around 1,100 part-time or contractor roles."
The Digital Disruptor award recognises the significant traction Explorate has gained in the past few years. In addition to rapid growth in revenue and market share, Explorate also completed a successful capital raise earlier this year. This accelerated their domestic expansion plans, with offices opening in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
With revenue forecasts tripling this financial year. It comes as no surprise that Hagan and Ewart are talking overseas expansion in 2023.
"New Zealand and Singapore will be our first two overseas agents, before we push into the wider Asia-Pacific region. The Asian markets are really appealing to us as we see a lot of opportunity with the realignment of goods coming from areas outside of China."
