Reporting to the CTO, you’ll be responsible for building, configuring and managing our core Information Technology services across our Australian offices.

As a critical position for our business continuity we are only considering candidates based in or near Brisbane, Australia, at this time.

In addition to working alongside a team of enthusiastic and supportive Explorators who share a goal to improve the way people interact with supply chains and trade globally, you’ll be joining a close-knit team of logistics and computer nerds that are re-imagining and rebuilding one of the oldest industries in the world. 

Skills/Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Five or more years of experience in related Systems Administration roles.
  • Previous experience as a Google Workspace administrator.
  • Experience with managing deployments of systems across multiple platforms, including Windows, Mac OS, Linux and ChromeOS.
  • Familiarity with centralised deployment systems, including Microsoft InTune & Google Chrome Enterprise.
  • In-depth understanding of IT security risks and tools and techniques to mitigate them.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to deal effectively and sympathetically with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Even Better:

  • Certifications in related technologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP or Azure.
  • Knowledge of systems administration scripting tools and open source/freeware/commercial administration tools (e.g., PowerShell, GAM, SysInternals, etc).
  • Self-motivation and are enthusiastic about reaching your targets in both life and work.

The Position:

  • Configuring and maintaining desktop operating environments for all team members across multiple offices.
  • Owning security management for all deployed endpoints, ensuring all systems are up-to-date and protected.
  • Manage the day-to-day IT support requirements for the company, including diagnosing and fixing technical issues on laptops, software, and collaboration tools.
  • Liaise with all departments to understand evolving IT requirements.
  • Capacity planning and growth management.
  • Seek out opportunities to improve our IT systems, both in terms of technical excellence and process improvements
